HTA Celebrates Ganesh Puja in Atlanta

The Hindu Temple of Atlanta (HTA) had Ganesh Visarjan (Ganesh immersion) at Hindu Temple of Atlanta which is the oldest and biggest temple of Georgia. After nine days of celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi, the devotees held a procession under the leadership of Ravi Chander and the entire HTA Board, team members and volunteers. More than 2,500 Indians joined from various communities. Even foreigners were part of this event and participated in all cultural events, and pooja rituals being celebrated.

The special attraction for the Ganesh Puja was live elephant being part of the procession, the helicopter showering rose petals on Lord Ganesh. Many children of the Indian community took part in cultural events and regaled the audience present with their dance, songs and short plays. The procession was held in Savanna which is 5.30 hours from Atlanta in a lake with all traditions to the Lord of removal of obstacles and wisdom, Lord Ganesha.
